Important! The Academy is now a secure building. All visitors, instructors, students, vendors, etc. will need to sign in with the receptionist and obtain a color-coded Academy ID Badge. Exception: All In-Service students will receive ID badges in the classroom during roll-call. Please return all Academy badges to your Instructor in the classroom before you leave. Any assigned badges not returned will result in $25 charge to your Agency for replacement cost. (updated: 12-10-09 )
SECURITY: The Academy reserves the right to ask students to present credentials / proof of criminal justice employment for validation. Photo ID is required.
Need In-Service Hours? Check out the electronic training calendar! This calendar is a "living document "and is updated frequently as Instructors commit to class presentations, so check it often. The Academy no longer hosts a static 40 hour In-Service week. We offer a multitude of topics throughout the year to pick and choose from, to better serve the educational needs of our members. Since we started this program, we have averaged 150 free-standing in-service classes per calendar year, so there are plenty of educational topics to meet your needs. (12-10-09 )
